SoCal Gas will be constructing new poles in the Holmby Hills area, as well as adding an Advanced Meter communications device.

Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas®) is upgrading the residential and most business natural gas meters by adding an Advanced Meter communications device. As a result, we will be able to give you more insight into your usage with new online tools.
BENEFITS OF THE ADVANCE METER:
With the new Advanced Meter technology, we are empowering our customers to save energy and money. With this upgrade, you will be able to:
- View up-to-date hourly and daily usage information and estimated costs
- Set and achieve your savings and conservation goals

- Manage your energy use
- Gain access to your hourly and daily usage information and analysis tools online through My Account at socalgas.com, where you can also view and pay your bill, schedule service and sign up for paperless billing.

Register or log in to My Account and click on the Ways to Save tab to start using the tools. Access to these tools will allow you to view your hourly, daily and monthly usage reports. Analyze your bill history. Set and review your savings and conservation goals. Take an energy survey to learn how you can save even more.

Customers who, in the past, had to provide Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas®) with a key to their gates, leave latches unlocked or confine their dogs to allow meter reading will only need to provide entry for periodic maintenance. However, until our communications network is fully operational, access to manually read the meter for a few more months is still needed.

Monitor your gas consumption, take steps to reduce your usage and avoid surprises in your bill. Customers with an activated Advanced Meter can sign up for Bill Tracker Alerts through My Account at socalgas.com. You’ll receive weekly updates sent via email and/or text regarding your bill-to-date and projected next bill. Visit “Manage My Account: Manage Alerts” within My Account to sign up.
=> Operational efficiencies
The Advanced Meter project will enable operational savings over the life of the project, estimated to be more than double the value of our investment. Operational savings will be passed along to customers in overall rates.
