On Thursday, January 7th at 10:00 a.m. the Cultural Heritage Commission (CHC) heard the Historic-Cultural Monument (HCM) nomination for the Singleton Estate and there was a strong turn out of neighbors who spoke to keep it from demolition and/or other structural changes. In turn, the Cultural Heritage Commission unanimously supported the L.A. Conservancy’s nomination.
What now? Before the nomination can become final, the City Council’s Planning and Land Use Management (PLUM) Committee must review it (meeting to be scheduled) and then it will go to a final vote by the City Council.
Once we received a date for the PLUM meeting, we will relay because the nomination will definitely need the support for that meeting as well.
